Break Espresso lands on list of the West's best coffee shops

Adventure Journal took on the daunting—and jittery—task of naming the 20 best coffee shops of the West, and already there's plenty of online debate among java fans. But here's one thing above reproach: Missoula's own Break Espresso lands at No. 8 on the list. Here's how writer Brendan Leonard described the local hangout:

Indie-haven Missoula got its first Starbucks in 2004, then it got its first downtown Starbucks in 2006, neighboring Break Espresso. The Break crushed Starbucks, and Starbucks shut its doors in 2009, as the Break expanded into an absolutely huge and wonderful space that is so big there are two wifi hotspots inside.

No arguments here. In fact, the Indy awarded Break a staff pick in the 2010 Best of Missoula issue. Our only problem is finding an open seat to get some work done on a Sunday afternoon.
