Frenchtown Pond State Park hosts Montana author Donna Love as she presents “The Common Loon: An Uncommon Creature” as part of the “Montana's Multitude of Myths, Misconceptions, and Little Known Facts” summer speaker series. Common loons are common in Canada, but not so common in Montana. In fact only about 200 loons make Montana their home for the summer. Come and learn about the natural history, nesting habits and life cycle of these remarkable diving birds of the north.
