Lone Pine State Park's 270 acres overlook the Flathead Valley, offering expansive views of Flathead Lake, Big Mountain, Jewel Basin, and Glacier National Park. Seven and a half miles of trails steer hikers, cross-country skiers, horseback riders and mountain bikers through the park. In addition to trails, Lone Pine features an archery range, horseshoe pit, and volleyball court. Look for scheduled adult workshops, children's activities and interpretive programs.
More than 20 mammals and almost 30 confirmed species of bird make Lone Pine a popular destination for wildlife watchers.
A modern visitor and interpretive center expanded in 2007 with rentable meeting rooms, A/V amenities, and a gift shop is the park's centerpiece, making Lone Pine a popular site for elementary school field trips, meetings, weddings, and family get-togethers. Outdoor picnic shelters accommodate large groups.
