Readers' Pick

Good things come, we suppose, to those who shed their clothes. The only way we can figure our new editor (and former arts editor) shamed/swooned readers into voting for him was that gratuitous, first-person nudist colony story he penned back in November. Perhaps it was the alarmingly accurate illustrated cover, or maybe his vivid description of chewing the fat while exposing it, too, that won readers over. (Or, maybe, just maybe, it was his weekly insights to the local arts scene, his one-on-one interviews with the likes of David Lynch and James Lee Burke, and the occasional sports-related cover story.) Either way, we’re honored readers selected one of our own to follow in the esteemed footsteps of past winners like Jessie McQuillan and Andy Smetanka.
