We have a blog!

Ever since Al Gore created the Internet and anonymous bloggers started popping up like pine beetles, we’ve wanted a corner of the blogosphere to call our own. And, finally, we got it—complete with a new website.

So, now what?

Well, for starters, you should expect to find the Indy’s traditional coverage of western Montana’s people, politics and culture—just on a daily basis, and with more links. That means original breaking news, updates to stories already printed in the paper, insightful commentary, links to what we’re reading, A&E picks, concert reviews, and other cool things that we’re still testing out.

Beyond the blog and our standard weekly content, the site also includes new features, like The Mix (our online personals), an enhanced calendar of events (with the chance for you to review venues and shows) and easier access to just about everything we publish (like Best of Missoula).

What you won’t find at the site: stuff like this. And this. We’re gonna try to stay at least a little focused.

Our hope is the new website makes your Indy experience a little more dynamic—and part of that involves you. Online comments, reviews and listings can be posted once you register. (Feel free to read the submission guidelines first.) And if you have any questions, or want to offer some feedback, you can always contact us directly.

That’s it for now. Click around and let us know what you think.
