Strong recipe with a little bit of mussels



Missoula restaurants have a tendency to impress unsuspecting travelers, and that was the case when a writer from the Seattle P-I hit some of the area's best eating establishments. Whidbey Island resident Sue Frause came away especially impressed with Scotty's Table's dish of Penn Cove mussels in white wine-butter sauce. It reminded her of home, which happens to be about 30 minutes from Penn Cove. That's high praise.

Frause returned the favor by supplying a recipe for Penn Cove mussels in Lemon Cream, with an added endorsement from Martha Stewart.
