Missoula Senior Center

The Missoula Senior Center officially began operations as a Senior Center in 1966 by Kathleen Walford and a large group of seniors. Ms. Walford stated “and dreaming wildly, there will a place where people can come in off the street to rest, to have fellowship, and to attend meetings of interest to them.” In the past 51 years, we have done just that. Incorporated as a 501c3 organization in 1970, the Senior Center has continued to provide numerous activities, events, nutritious meals, volunteer opportunities and friendship.

As a non-profit organization, we have greatly appreciated the kindness of the Missoula Community who continues to donate both time, money, items for our Thrift Store and overall support of our programs and events.

The Senior Center is located at 705 S Higgins Ave with hours from 8-4 M-F and the Underground Thrift Store hours from 10-3 M-F. Our nutritious lunches are served M-F from 11:30 -12:30 for $4 if on our Missoula Aging Services sponsored Nutrition Program (age 60 and older and a Missoula County Resident), $5 for students with valid Student ID, children age 8 and under eat free and 9 and above is $5; $6 for under age 60 and may or not be local.
